Graduate student education of National Engineering Research Center of Rare Earth Materials (Grirem Advanced Materials Co., Ltd.) dates back to the1980s. So far, it has recruited more than 160 graduate students, including 4 post-doctoral students and 46 PHDS.

Rooted in the academic fertile soil for decades, graduate student education of National Engineering Research Center of Rare Earth Materials (Hereinafter referred to as Rare Earth Center) has formed a well-structured discipline system. We can recruit and cultivate PhD, master's graduate students, postdoctoral researchers for 2 first-class disciplines , materials science and engineering and metallurgical engineering.

Rare Earth Center has a strong tutor team. By the end of October 2017, there are 17 graduate tutors, including 4 doctoral supervisors. The tutor team includes Academician Zhang Guocheng and Academician Huang Xiaowei, famous experts in rare earth metallurgy and materials, Professor Yu Dunbo, leaders of youth science and technology innovation of Ministry of Science and Technology, Professor Li Hongwei, enjoying the government special allowance and other distinguished experts.

Rare Earth Center sticks to graduate training philosophy of "cultivating innovative and practical talents", encourages students to conducte academic research independently with the guidance of tutors and help of the team and grow through domestic and international academic exchanges.

Rare Earth Center provides superior learning and living environment for students. The tuition is free. Except for scholarships stipulated by the government and from General Research Institute for Nonferrous Metals, Rare Earth Center sets up various special awards to encourage graduate student's independent innovation.

For the future, Rare Earth Center continues to strengthen chinese rare earth technology.According to the national strategic demand and the development of the rare earth industry, we will cultivate innovative and high-tech talents to lay the talent foundation for the healthy and sustainable development of rare earth industry in China and the world.
