Rare earth precision ceramic material is an emerging industry of GRIREM, including rare earth functional ceramics and rare earth structure ceramics as two major segments, which is the key basic material for energy conservation, environmental protection, new generation of information technology, biological industry and new material industry in China's strategic emerging industries. There are 16 patents for invention and dozens of papers in the field. The main research directions include:

1) Rare earth structure ceramics and functional ceramics

2) Rare earth ultrafine powder materials and preparation technology for high-end special ceramics

3) Rare earth stabilized zirconia ceramics and ceramic products
