In 1970’s, GRIREM and its predecessor has been committed to research and industrialization development of automobile exhaust rare earth catalysts in China as a national task. Then it successfully developed high-performance automobile exhaust gas purification catalysts and scaled production and sales. The new application of domestic rare earth catalytic materials in environment is developed. There are 15 patents for invention (1 PCT patent) in the field. The main research directions include:

1) Automobile exhaust pollution control technology and catalyst

2) Cerium zirconium catalyst and carrier material

3) Natural gas combustion catalytic material

4) Volatile organic waste gas (VOCs) catalytic purification materials

5) Rare earth modified methane catalyzes hydrogen production

6) Industrial waste gas treatment of denitration of rare earth catalysts

7) Preparation process and technology of rare earth and catalytic materials
