Graduated from Shandong University in 1996 and achieved the degree of PhD in the major of materials in General Research Institute for Non-ferrous Metals. Currently he is the General Manager of Grirem Advanced Materials Co., Ltd., senior engineer & professor. He achieved the title of “Qiushi Outstanding Youth Scholar for Technology Fruit Industrialization” awarded by CAST in 2002, Mao Yisheng Prize for Science and technology-Beijing youth scholar Award for Science and technology, and was enrolled in National Youth Science and Technology Innovation Leader, National Special Support Program for High-level Personnel Recuirment Leader, etc. in 2014, as well as enjoying the Special Government Allowances of the State Council.

He has been engaged in the R&D both on RE permanent materials in fundamental physical field and innovated magnetic materials for a long term.

He is also the commissioner of Permanent Magnet Specialized Committee and Solid Science & Advanced Materials Specialized Committee in China Rare Earth Society.
