Liu Ronghui, is a professor in General Research Institute for Nonferrous Metals (GRINM in short),  as well as the director of Luminescent Materials and Special Lamp Department in Grirem Advanced Materials Co. Ltd. He mainly focuses on the development and industrialization of high-end rare-earth luminescent materials for white LED, particularly in the exploration of advanced preparation technologies. Prof. Liu has published over 40 papers in the top international academic journals and applied for more than 40 Chinese invention patents, in which more than 30 patents he is the first applicant and and more than 20 patents are authorized in domestic and foreign countries. He also delivered more than 10 invited reports at domestic academic and industrial conferences. Prof. Liu has presided more than 10 national and provincial projects, such as the National Key Research and Development Plan, National High Technology Research and Development Program 863, Natural Science Foundation of China and Major Industrialization Projects in Zhongguancun. He won the National Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award Nomination and gained four science and technology rewards at the ministerial and provincial level. Prof. Liu was awarded “The First Young Scientist of Chinese Rare Earth Society”, “Beijing outstanding talents”, “Beijing Science and Technology Star”. Prof. Liu also served as the Chairman of Optical Function Materials Branch of Association of China Rare Earth Industry, Commissioner of the Chinese Society of Rare Earths on Luminescence Committee, commissioner of The Chinese Society for Metals on Energy Saving and Emission Reduction Committee.
