Grirem Advanced Materials Co.,Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as “Grirem”) was founded after an entire restructuring to National Engineering Research Center for Rare Earth Materials(hereinafter referred to as “CREM”) as a joint-stock company in 2001, with Grinm group Co., Ltd. ( previous General Research Institute for Non-ferrous Metals, hereinafter referred to as “GRINM”) as the main sponsor. [More]
Giant magnetostrictive materials

1. Descriptions

Rare-earth magnetostrictive materials are rare earth iron alloys with the main phase of REFe2 compound. The materials can show scale change alone the direction of magnetization in the magnetic field and produce large magnetostriction, which can convert electromagnetic energies into mechanical energies. Rare-earth magnetostrictive materials have large magnetostriction coefficient, high electromechanical coupling coefficient, fast mechanical response speed and high power density.
